1939, Edward Hopper painted a picture of the house known as “Pretty Penny” for his neighbor, Helen Hayes.
To raise money to save Hopper’s birthplace, the Edward Hopper Preservation Foundation produced this stationery in 1985, noting that the house is the Nyack, NY home of the famous actress.
The original oil on canvas, 29 x 40 inches, is owned by Smith College Museum of Art, Northampton, MA.
