VOC(volatile organic compounds) in mask

November 20, 2022

Interesting article that implies one should “air out” a mask prior to wearing it (to get rid of toxic VOCs). For an N95, this requires 6 hrs.

Does coffee increase cancer risk? | Interviews | Naked Scientists

September 16, 2022

Liked the discussion of the paper by @stevesphd on Coffee Consumption
& Cancer Risk (https://clinicalnutritionjournal.com/article/S0261-5614(22)00313-2/fulltext). However, I was surprised that the elevation of stomach acid & GERD from caffeine was not mentioned as a potential reason for the association with esophageal cancer.
